What Society Must Require from AI" and "A call for action". Su primer plática comenzó así: "Imagine a society in which control over many aspects of life has been delegated to a mysterious godlike spirit that has proclaimed a mission of improving society's productivity and welfare. Nobody knows why the spirit came to Earth about 50 years ago, and where it came from, yet it has gradually developed friends, influence, and power, mostly in the last decade. The spirit conveys many benefits, but also increasing numbers of deleterious side-effects. For most of the 50 years it remained in the shadows, unnoticed and inscrutable. Yet now it is everywhere, with an efficiency and power sufficiently awesome that nobody can contemplate a society without it.
That spirit is the software known as artificial intelligence, or AI...
